This is a ten-page excerpt from
Quest Theater, Book 1:
Bones in the Basement
Before this Act begins, we follow the Quest children (Pearl, Bernie, and Oscar) as they move to the small town where their grandfather lives. While he owns a house on the outskirts of town, Grandpa Quest has chosen to move into the private quarters behind the projection room in the Quest Theater. To their dismay, the kids must go to the theater every day after school to ‘keep them out of trouble,’ according to their dad.
However, in the two weeks that they’ve spent afternoons at the theater they’ve hardly even seen Grandpa Quest. Wasn’t he supposed to be watching them? With Grandpa’s lack of attention, how much trouble could three kids get into?
If Bernie has anything to do with it, quite a bit!
