Writer and director of the Emmy Award-winning children’s television series, The Traveling Trio, Lora Gray is also the winner of three Tribeca Film Festival awards for her short films, which she also wrote and directed. As an author of fiction for young adults and children, Lora draws on her years of traveling and learning about other people and cultures. Always on a mental adventure, she sees writing as a way of sharing her explosive imagination with others.
Born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and reared in Texas, Lora is the youngest of four sisters. As an adult, she has lived and worked in London and the Slovak Republic, and currently lives on an enchanted little haven near Wimberley, Texas.
